In-Person Tuition:
1 child - $150
2 children - $200
3+ children - $225

Home-learning Tuition (includes textbooks and resources):
1 child - $50
each additional child - add $20

Note: $100 out-of-parish fee for each family not registered at St. Mary's

Tuition fees will cover the cost of any materials used for classes and religious education activities, including textbooks, supplies, staff salaries, cleaning materials, personal protective equipment, and supplies sent home for families.

Sacramental Preparation:
First Reconciliation & First Communion Prep begins in 1st Grade and completes in 2nd Grade*
Confirmation Prep begins in 7th Grade and completes in 8th Grade*

*If your child needs to receive sacraments outside of these specific grades, please call the Office of Religious Education to find out which class your child should attend

If your child is in 2nd, 8th or the 2nd year of Sacramental Preparation, we ask for a small fee to cover the cost of materials!

- Religious Education Format Option
  This school year, all St. Mary's CFF classes will meet in-person in St. Mary's School building on Sunday mornings. If your family will be unable to participate in these classes or you prefer to teach your children yourselves, you can select the home-learning model instead. In this model, St. Mary's will provide textbooks and resources to parents, and the parents will lead all religious education of their children at home. Home-learning parents will share completed unit assessments with St. Mary's after each semester this school year.

- Volunteers Needed
  With additional requirements for religious education with social distancing in our classrooms, St. Mary's needs additional volunteers this year. We will have a strong need for catechists and catechists' aides, as well as non-classroom volunteers welcoming families and providing direction in the hallways. If you would consider becoming a volunteer with the St. Mary's CCD program, please select below all roles that you are interested in learning more about. All volunteers must complete the Archdiocesan volunteer requirements below:
  
  1. Complete a volunteer application.
  2. Log on to create an account at www.virtus.org (Organization: Washington, DC (Archdiocese))
  3. Attend a Virtual "Protecting God's Children" seminar
  4. Return acknowledgments from the seminar packet
  5. Complete fingerprinting/ online background check.

- Parent Class
  Parents are required to participate in parent classes for ongoing faith formation throughout the year. These classes will be during Sunday morning CCD classes in four two-week sessions on different Catholic teachings. Please select below which two-week session that one or both parents of your family will attend. All families are required to attend at least one two-week session.

- Parent Permission and Publicity Release

  The 2021-2022 St. Mary’s CFF program will consist of in-person classes and family faith formation activities. These activities will take place under the guidance and direction of parish employees and/or volunteers who are subject to the Archdiocese of Washington’s Child Protection and Safe Environment Policy. I will be notified of the sessions and how they will be conducted, including registration links should I want to be present with my child.
