St. Mary's School
 Tuition Assistance Fund

St. Mary’s School Advisory Board is working to establish a Tuition Assistance Fund to aid families enrolled at St. Mary’s School, who are experiencing financial difficulties.  There are two ways of participating in this fund.

The FIRST WAY is by TUITION ROUND-UP.  Please consider “rounding up” your family tuition amount for the “extra” to be designated for the Tuition Assistance Fund.

The SECOND WAY is through WRITING A CHECK directly for the Tuition Assistance Fund.  Simply write a check to St. Mary’s School noting on the MEMO line tuition assistance only for whatever you may be able to afford, and if not now, at anytime that you may be able.

These rounded up or outright donations for tuition assistance cannot go to your SMART PLAN.  If they went to SMART, they would not be noted as DONATIONS.

Modest examples:

The new tuition rate is $4,896 for one-child family.  If 10 families are able to “round-up” to $5,000, $104 contribution each, we would have $1,040 available for assistance.

Similarly, the new tuition rate is $8,528 for a two-child family.  If 10 more families are able to “round-up” to $8,700, they would each contribute an additional $172, giving us $1,720 to add to the assistance fund.

Lastly, the new tuition rate is $11,016 for a family of three or more children in school.  If two of these families were to “round-up” to $11,200, they would each contribute $184, giving $368 more for the fund.

With these modest examples, we would have $3,128, to help cover a month or two of a students’ tuition in the event of a family emergency (i.e., reduction or loss of employment; illness or death in the family; housing disaster, etc.).

Please send all donations to St. Mary’s School, % Principal, 600 Veirs Mill Rd., Rockville , MD 20852   Questions?  Call Sister Carol at 301-762-4179 X 3004.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
