Mission
The Health Ministry of St. Mary's Parish is dedicated to embracing the whole person--body, mind and  spirit--in relationship to God, Mary, our Patroness and our parish family.  (Rose A. Attig)
ST. MARY'S SODALITY

MarysNotes
Provides spiritual, social, and community service opportunities to women in the parish. Activities include: Afternoon Reflection, Mother/Daughter Breakfast. (Cindy Selby)

PARISH COUNCIL Eight members, elected by parishioners, serve two-year terms. Members advise the Pastor on matters regarding parish life. (John Matteo)
FINANCE COMMITTEE Serves to advise the Pastor in matters pertaining to finances of the parish as specified by Canon Law.  (Robert Vallese)
SCHOOL ADVISORY BOARD Six elected members of the parish serving two-year terms who advise the Pastor in matters relating to the administration of the school. (Dean Coppola)
HOME & SCHOOL ASSOCIATION Volunteers offer assistance to the faculty, and help raise funds for the school. Some activities of the HSA include Golf Outing, Hot Lunch Program, and Annual Spring Auction. (Karen Gilroy)
CCD PROGRAM Provides for the continuing Catholic education of students in public and private schools, Adult Education, and RCIA.( Mr. & Mrs. Roger Langley, R.C.I.A. 301-762-2560)  Volunteer parishioners teach weekly classes (Pre-school - 12th grades). Volunteer needs include: drivers, seamstresses, calligraphers and volunteers to host occasional receptions. (Jason Gale - 301-762-8750 )
LAY MINISTERS Parishioners are encouraged to volunteer to serve as Eucharistic Ministers (Dana Baker & Patricia Carter) and Lectors (George Griffin).  Eucharistic ministers have the opportunity to take Communion to those parishioners unable to attend Mass. 
SOCIAL CONCERNS 

Volunteer Opportunities 

Volunteer opportunities are available to assist in food collections for community outreach to soup kitchens and shelters, 'Meals on Wheels' the parish Advent Giving Tree, and care-giving to individuals and families. (Patricia & Patrick Breen)
LITURGY COMMITTEE Welcomes parishioners to assist in the planning of the liturgy for the various church seasons and major feasts. (Cecile Galczynski)
MUSIC & CHOIR New voices and musicians always welcomed ... young, old, and somewhere in-between! The Traditional choir sings at the10:30 a.m. Mass, practice is Thursday evening. The Children's Choir sings at the 9:00 a.m. Mass, practice is Wednesday evening. (Cecile Galczynski)
BELL RINGERS Volunteers ring the bell in historic Our Lady's Chapel before and after each Sunday Mass as a celebration of worship (George Griffin)
ALTAR SERVERS Girls and boys (6th grade and older) are assigned on teams to serve at the week-end Masses and special services throughout the church year. (Paul Barrett, Jr.)
SCOUTS All youth in the parish are invited to participate in Brownie, Cub, Girl and Boy Scouting (Dave Neimeyer)
'RIGHT TO LIFE& PREGNANCY      AID CENTER   Offers counseling to persons facing difficult decisions. Coordinator of parish participation in annual 'March For Life'. (Rose Attig)
USHERS Volunteers welcomed to assist parishioners finding a seat at Masses, taking the collections at Masses, and distributing bulletins. (Father Downs)
ARIMATHEANS Volunteers are retired men of the parish who assist the priests at the time of funerals in helping to prepare the church. (Paul Barrett, Sr.)
MONEY COUNTERS Volunteer counters serve on teams to count Sunday collections. Volunteers are needed for duties about every six weeks. (Ron Dunn)
